Neuromuscular Therapy is dramatic in it's ability to locate trigger points, correct postural imbalances, reduce pain and improve a person's quality of life. Sara K. Vogeler has added movement therapy to NMT to correct faulty patterns that may cause jaw, neck, back, knee, or wrist pain. She can often restore the appropriate range of motion, easy moving, and ones's sense of well-being by listening and sensing with her hands what is going on.

Using principles of correct biomechanics and postural alignment, Lynn's head is brought more posterior to restore the natural curve of her neck. In particular, trigger points due to whiplash from a car accident are being released in the front of her neck to reduce pain and restore her natural curvature. Her pain was so severe that she had to sleep upright in a chair for weeks! Now, she is pain-free after many treatments and her willingness to reduce her work load as a lawyer.

In supine position, gentle traction and occipital release allow the spine to lengthen, the dural membrane to unwind, and the body to relax. Breathing deeply is an automatic response to this process of balancing the head on a fulcrum made by the therapist's fingers. It is a technique in Cranio-Sacral Therapy.
