Body-Mind Centering ®, developed by Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Registered O.T., is an approach to learning about one's body
by experiencing its parts individually and then as a whole. It teaches you how to contact different systems such as the skeletal,
muscular, organ, glandular, and fluid systems of the body in terms of movement and postural expression. It explains how the
reflexes you are born with lead to stages of movement throughout infancy, much like the letters of the alphabet forming words.
It even teaches you to experience different qualities that are found within a single cell. All these experiences are designed
to bridge any gaps that may have formed due to inadequate development in infancy, and that may be holding you back emotionally,
intellectually, or spiritually. As an adult you can re-experience these missed parts of your development, and fill in the
gaps. These experiences may be quite profound.
